SmartProfile profile analysis software extracts point cloud files from workpiece measurement results (compatible with any measurement system), fits and compares the point cloud with a CAD model marked with tolerances, and then automatically outputs the results and performs a conformance assessment based on the tolerance zones.
After performing fits that meet various predefined conditions, SmartProfile Profile Analysis Software identifies the optimal position and calculates surface profile and positional accuracy, ensuring your results fully comply with ASME Y14.5 and Y14.5.1 standards. The supported GD&T tolerances include form, profile, orientation, and positional tolerances.
Overlaying Point Clouds onto the Model
Once dimensions are marked on the SmartProfile model, reference lines are established, and GD&T tolerances are defined, the measured data is imported as a point cloud and overlaid onto the model. You can choose to align the point cloud with the model manually or automatically.
SmartProfile then compares the measured data with the nominal model to determine whether the measured features fall within the tolerance limits. A color-coded map displays the “pass/fail” status of each measured feature, as well as the magnitude of deviation from the tolerance. Reports can be printed or exported to various file formats for further analysis or archiving.

What is SmartProfile?
It is the first standalone, GD&T-based 2D/3D automatic evaluation software package that fully complies with ASME Y14.5/1994 and ISO 1101 standards.
