1. Import CAD model
EVOLVE SmartProfile can import industry standard CAD file formats including STEP, IGES, DXF and QIF.
CAD models with PMI information can be imported from QIF (Quality Information Framework *) files.
The unified XML framework standard for computer-aided quality measurement systems can be imported into CAD models and PMIs
2. Define tolerances
EVOLVE SmartProfile allows you to define GD&T (GPS) tolerances according to selected standards (ASME Y14.5m -- 1994, ASME Y14.5m -- 2009 or ISO 1101). The built-in interpretation system always displays relevant information from the current context.
EVOLVE SmartProfile supports enhanced GD&T annotation, including multi-layer tolerances, composite benchmarks and offsets, simultaneous and separate requirements, and more.
3. Evaluation of GD&T
Import the measurement point cloud from any measurement device: CMM, laser scanner, CT, etc. Handle large point clouds with optional data preparation tools to speed up analysis without loss of analysis integrity.

4. Save the result
Custom graphics and text reports are easy to create and can be exported to Excel, PDF, text, and other file formats.

GD&T standards
The SmartProfile GD&T engine meets all major GD&T standards (ASME Y14.5M-1994, ASME Y14.5-2009, ISO 1101) and least-squares assessments. It supports multi-layer tolerances, complex and composite benchmarks, and standard notations in the feature control framework.
Data Preparation Tool
The Large Number of Points (LNP) option allows efficient and lossless import and processing of point clouds with large numbers of points.
Deviation of coloring
Processing points for color-coded deviations allows easy monitoring. Deviation colors can be used for source and result as well as CAD and result.
Class CMM sampler
A CMM-like sampler tool for extracting reliable representative surface points from dense and noisy point clouds.
The noise reduction
Noise reduction Settings include options based on surfaces and curves, depending on the point structure.
Filtering by bias
The bias filter tool eliminates outliers, islands, and unnecessary points based on the degree of deviation from the CAD model.
